The Office Design Team tuned in to major refurbishment for InSync

An expanding company at Petersfield is settling into new headquarters following a £91,000 relocation and refurbishment project by The Office Design Team (ODT).

InSync, which was founded nearly six years ago and specialises in broadcast electronics design and manufacture, signalled its intention to grow by purchasing the freehold of a 2,000 sq ft office, to the rear of Dragon Street, for an undisclosed sum.

The 12 staff have just moved into the new premises following the six-week fit-out by ODT. They were previously based five minutes away in an office above Festival Hall.

Barry Flannagan, InSync’s managing director, said: “Our new head office, where we design and test our products, is perfect for expansion and convenience, and ODT did an outstanding job for us.

“We invested a six-figure sum on relocation and the excellent refurbishment, and it was money well spent because the office has the right mix of functionality and looks.”

ODT director Andrew Saunders said: “The building had lain empty for ten years or so, so it was lovely to be able to breathe new life into it on behalf of InSync. We wish the company every success in its new home.”

InSync’s tailor-made conversion technology means TV viewers in the UK can watch pictures beamed in from around the world despite varying global standards of definition.

For example, a major network broadcaster used InSync for the inauguration ceremony of the 44th president of the USA, Barack Obama, in January.

The broadcast was shot in American high definition (HD) but converted to European HD – known as ‘inter-operability’.

Another example on the world stage was the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games; InSync ensured we could cheer on Rebecca Adlington as she swam two gold medals.
